Tuesday, July 18, 2006 730 days of bliss and many more to come!!~
We had the most amazing anniversary celebration ever at East Coast, a place that holds a lot of significance for us as a couple.. From 15/07/06 - 16/07/06, we took ourselves away from the busy schedules of life and spent quiet time together..It was remarkable.. Below is a brief description of that exciting trip!

We woke early on Saturday morning abt 730 am and did final our checks before setting off on bus 13... Took a smooth and eventful ride down.. Reached Eact Coast at 930am! Had Mac for breakfast - Our usual fav: Big Breakfast + Hotcakes! After which went to pitch our tent.. As we brought more stuff this time, we had more than mere basic essentials.. In fact we had "luxury items"! Haha..

Our tent was a 3-men, blue.. Inside, we had a flourescent torch, alarm clock and fan hanging from the ceiling.. A red soft sleeping bag for the base.. A straw mat outside as our porch.. Radio, tumbler, frying pan, mess tin, utensils, powder, mosquito coil, camera, bbq set.. You name it we got it.. We even had a security lock to the door of the tent! Haha..

First stop: Swimming! I went for a dip at the coast while dear was sunbathing on the shore.. About 1pm, we did field cooking - instant noodles yum yum! Den later about 2pm we went cycling on a tandem bike.. After which we went for a game of pool (draw 2-2!)..

By then it was about 430pm so we walked to Parkway Parade to buy our food for the BBQ in the evening - bacon, chicken wings, crab sticks, prawns and otah!! Started the fire at abt 630pm.. Saw a couple of C130s fly past and were reminded of NDP.. Those guys must be practicing hard for the parade while we are enjoying ourselves! Haha.. Den had a lovely BBQ till sunset and cleared up abt 9pm..

After which proceeded to Bernie's pub for a "screwdriver" while enjoying the live band and watching ESPN.. Den went back to our tent, had an army-style "powder bath" and went to bed..

Early next morning did field cooking again! This time it was cake, pepper scrambled eggs and coffee.. Den went to the bowling alley.. Wanted to play but it was too cold and we din have socks! So decided to head to the pool centre for a rematch! This time I got thrashed even worse (3-1).. But won her in a "foos ball" table soccer game!

Slacked a bit in our tent and ate nachos and ice-cream till 1pm.. Den cycled to the cable-ski centre, Bedok Jetty and the huge hawker centre at the other end of East Coast for a light lunch.. After which we went back and packed our tents.. Had waffles and sausages at The Waffle Shop as well as White Chocolate Iced Latte from Gelare..

May we have many more exciting years to come! As I said, 2 years baby can walk liao.. Just waiting for 5 - 6 years old which will come very soon, den can hear wedding bells ring!! Hooray!!~ =)
